at this moment she is clean!
Drugs were part of the reason but not the only reason.But she was also went there for her mental problems, like she was bipolar and was going crazy.She wasn’t stable during that time and needed help.

Here are some legit sources as to what happened regarding the time(s) Britney Spears supposedly went to rehab, and the one time she actually went to rehab for more than a day:
January 2007: After Britney got wasted at a New Years Eve party, it was reported that she went to rehab but she really just went to an Arizona Spa Resort called Sanctuary for a couple of days.

February 2007: Britney partied throughout LA and went to Las Vegas to work with Dr.Luke. There, she left the kids in a Las Vegas penthouse with the nanny and flew to New York City for Fashion Week. In New York, she partied hard for a weekend, had her kids join her in New York, and then flew to Florida. Sometime between arriving in New York and heading to Florida, she found out that her boyfriend (Isaac Cohen) sold their sex stories to a UK tabloid and ridiculed her as a person.
In Florida, she checked in a Four Seasons hotel, met up with her manager and mother, sent the kids back with her mother, and flew to Antigua Island (The Caribbeans) with intentions on checking into Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Centre in Antigua. The staff said Britney and her manager looked around for about 2 hours and then LEFT. They then took a 6 hour commercial flight back to LA.
Long story short, when she got back to LA, Britney shaved her head bald and all hell broke loose between her, her family, and the world. Two days later, Britney checked into Promises Rehab Clinc in Malbu but checked out the next day. Her husbands lawyer, Mark Kaplin, threatened to file an emergency custody hearing to show Britney as an unfit mother unless she went back to rehab and stayed for at least 30 days. Britney went back and stayed until March.

March 2007: After Britney got out, she and Kevin ended their marriage and came to a custody agreement.(supposedly 50/50 but noone knows.) A few days later, Britney went to a paparazzi camera and recorded a sarcastically humorous video where she said “my managers totally knew what they were doing by sending me to rehab”… in the middle of a custody battle. >.>

She then financially cut off her mother and father, fired the manager that sent her to rehab, and filed a restraining against her mother.

Sooooo much more happened throughout the rest of the year but she didn’t go back to rehab. In Britneys 2008 MTV documentary, she denied ever having a drug problem and left the impression that people are controlling her life.( which is actually true since she is now under a legal conservatorship).
