You should consider taking your child to a specialist, or get a referral for a children’s hospital in your area. Either way you do it, do something! You and your child shouldn’t have to live like this!

While I could write a novel here – I want to highly recommend you put the child on the epileptic “Ketogenic Diet”. Please see the link below. Its successful in stopping seizures in about 2/3 of all children that try it. You have to be careful with it – and be very meticulous (no cheating) – but when it works its beautiful. I learned of it when I was dealing with seizures myself.

The Pediatric Epilepsy Center provides comprehensive epilepsy care in the compassionate St. Louis Children’s Hospital environment, with cutting-edge technology and knowledge by virtue of its association with some of the nation’s top neuroscientists at Washington University School of Medicine. Research advances in the development of new technologies for epilepsy surgery, new drugs for epilepsy, and new techniques for imaging of the brain are often made at St. Louis Children’s Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. These advances are then brought from the research laboratory to the bedside, where a unique treatment plan is developed for each child based upon his or her special needs.

Even though you have had an MRI, Try pushing for a CAT Scan. They are more detailed than an MRI. Also when a childs sinus cavities in the back of the head are infected they can cause horrible seizures as well as permanent damage. My little sister is going through the same sort of thing now and it’s taken them a year to figure out why she is seizureing and why she is always tired. When you say seizures, are you meaning epileptic or other? my sis is having a little of both. But again, really push for a CT Scan. If you have an hmo DEMAND that your PCP give you a referral for a CT. Dont let them push you around!!
