Thank you for sharing this online with folks you do not know. Your poem has
touched many of us and i just wanted you to know. We are so sorry for your
loss of your baby boy. I can’t imagine your pain but i feel it too as i’m
dealing with a drug addicted child, just like you. The jails are full of
addicts just as you say and then they kick them back to the streets to live
another day. It’s such a shame but society has to come together as this
disease IS here to stay.

My heart is broken for your family. I too feel that I will lose my son. His
addiction started after a back injury. I finally got the guts to have him
arrested and sent to jail and also filed a restraining order against him
which is good for a year. My heart hurts. We cannot afford to send him away
to get the help he needs so I am fighting to keep him in jail I felt that
was my last ditch effort to save him. He would go to an out of state clinic
but the fees are phenonmenal. So I cry and I pray.
