HOMELESS MAN “GOLDEN VOICE” GETS A JOB – ed Williams, a homeless US man with a deep, refined voice has become an overnight online sensation after being “discovered” by a local reporter on a street corner in Columbus, Ohio. The 53 year-old has now been offered a job by the NBA’s Cleveland Cavaliers and is being pursued by NFL Films for possible work. Williams said the team had offered him a two-year contract and said they would pay his living expenses. Williams was recently living in a tent and whose past includes a lengthy list of arrests. He has served time in prison for theft and forgery and has been cited with numerous misdemeanours, including drug abuse. In New York, Williams’ mother Julia was thrilled her only child was turning his life around.

Russell Brand Tells MPs Drug Addiction Should Be Treated As Illness – Comedian Russell Brand has told MPs on the Home Affairs Select Committee addiction should be treated as an illness instead of a crime. The 36-year-old who said he had beaten a heroin addiction which saw him arrested a dozen times, blamed his drug problems on emotional and psychological difficulties. Society should not “discard people, write them off on methadone and leave them on the sidelines” and should exercise more “love and compassion”, he argued.

i want to want to become a drug/alcohol counselor, for a intermediate carrier goal, the certificate only takes a year or so. i been going to college for 2 yrs, and this summer i am planning on taking this summer off and no class, and i really want to do some out of the box activities that i like.
