I am needing to find services, at no or low cost for drug and alcohol addiction in Kansas, preferably, possibly one of the surrounding states. Thanks for your help.

You might want to look into 12 step programs, state programs or treatment programs with payment plans. Look for online resources and talk to others who have been through addiction. Wishing you the best of luck.

Meet the Passages Malibu Staff: Chris Prentiss

Meet the Passages Malibu Staff: Chris Prentiss – Chris Prentiss is the co-founder of Passages Malibu and Passages Ventura addiction treatment centers in California. His unique philosophy to treating drug and alcohol addiction is also outlined in his book, “The Alcoholism & Addiction Cure.” Prentiss, along with his son, co-founder and CEO Pax Prentiss, have truly revolutionized addiction treatment by believing that addiction is not a disease. Instead, it’s a symptom of an underlying condition that needs to be discovered and healed. In the wake of Passages Malibu’s 2001 debut (with Passages Ventura following in 2009), many other holistic, non-12 Step treatment centers have tried to copy what we do. But, Passages remains the industry leader in holistic, non-12 Step substance abuse treatment centers. At Passages, we believe in a cure. We believe in you. Journey From Despair to Hope

Journey from Despair to Hope – In the past 11 years, over 1.3 million American service personnel have served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Nearly 30% of them have returned home with traumatic brain injury, Post Traumatic Stress or both. Some dealt with these issues by self medicating with drugs and alcohol. Most veterans cannot find work. Some have become homeless. Since 2009, the number of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans assisted at VVSD has increased five-fold. And this is just the beginning. VVSD expects the number to increase many times over in the coming years. In this emotional video some of the young veterans discuss their issues and how VVSD has assisted them.
