Question by : Dose anyone know a good doctor in columbus oh. that will prescribe pain medication?
Can someone please help me. I have been suffering with sever pain in my lower back and left knee for over a year now and its now getting to the point that I may have to find another job that required far less standing and walking if I cant find a doctor that will prescribe me pain meds or something to help me. I have been to over 3 doctors and all them wouldnt even take an xray of my back or knee and deffinatly wouldnt prescribe me anything because I guess they thought I was just drug seeking… even tho I asked for xrays. In all cases they told me to continue taking over the cournter pain medication and use products such as bio freeze or icyhot to manage any pain I may be experiencing. This is so rediclious and I am in seirous pain. I find it so funny that people that really dont need them get them by the gallons full and sell them on the street for tons of cash and then you have ppl like me that really truelly need them and we get nothing. So if anyone can please help in finding a good doctor that can help me and more than likley wont think Im just drug seeking it would be greatly appericated, Thank you sooo much. Again I live in Columbus oho in the downtown area so Im pretty much the same distance to any doctor. Thanks again I really hope somone can help me.

You could look for a “Pain Management Center” in your area. They are usually docs used to treating chronic pain. But docs aren’t dumb, they easily recognize the signs of drug seeking, so if you really don’t need meds, they will recognize it, like saying you don’t need x-rays and to take ibuprofen for it.
